Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of photographer are you?

I am a lifestyle photographer. This means, I like to take natural, “less posed,” pictures of your family. Most of the time, I am not going to ask you to look at the camera. I ask you to look at each other or other prompts that are not, “Say Cheese!”

Where will my session be held?

For family pictures, I have a few locations around Summit County that I really love. I will give you a few different choices based on what you are looking for, mountains, water, wildflowers, etc.

For newborn pictures, I am going to come to your house to comfortably capture your new little bundle.

How long will my session be?

Most sessions are about 1 hour. Newborn sessions take longer, around 90 minutes- 2 hours.

Will I get digital photos from my session?

Yes! You will receive a minimum of 75 high quality digital photos. You will receive an email connecting you to your personal gallery and will be able to download all photos. These are included in your session price.

What should I wear?

The most important thing is to be comfortable. You need to actually FEEL comfortable. This means two different things. If you wear something that doesn’t feel good (on your body), you will look unnatural. You also need to wear clothes that you think you LOOK GOOD in. Be yourself. The more you feel like yourself, the more natural your pictures will look!

Design: In general, the more neutral, solid tones, the better. If you have a lot of pattern, it can detract from the pictures. If you do use patterned clothing, put the kids in it and parents in the more solid tones.

Colorado weather can be unpredictable. Please be prepared with layers.
